Ingredients
500g ground beef or lamb
2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 chopped onion
2 chopped tomatoes
3–4 green chilies, chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
Salt, as needed
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 cup oil
Chopped coriander for garnish
Instructions
Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and cook until golden brown.
Stir in ginger-garlic paste and green chilies; cook for 1 minute.
Add ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Mix in turmeric, red chili powder, cumin, coriander powder, and salt. Stir well.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft and oil begins to separate.
Add cubed potatoes and a small amount of water if needed. Cover and simmer for 15–20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
Sprinkle garam masala and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot.
Notes
Serve with naan, roti, or steamed rice.
Adjust green chilies and chili powder for desired spiciness.
Leftovers taste even better the next day after flavors meld.
