These Banana Bread Brownies combine moist, banana-infused bread with rich brownie goodness. Perfect for dessert or a sweet snack!

Ingredients

  • 2 medium-sized ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Mash bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter; mix well.
  4. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until incorporated.
  5. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually fold dry ingredients into banana mixture until just combined.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  8. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  9. Bake 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  10. Cool 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

  • Add extra mashed bananas for more flavor, reducing butter slightly to maintain texture.
  • Store leftovers in airtight container up to 3 days at room temperature or 1 week in fridge.
