A quick and flavorful stir-fry combining tender sirloin steak, fresh broccoli, and ramen noodles tossed in a savory, slightly sweet sauce. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.
1 pound sirloin steak, trimmed and sliced into 1 1/2-inch strips
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 cups fresh broccoli florets
1/2 cup water
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
Whisk together soy sauce and cornstarch until smooth. Add beef broth, honey, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and cracked red pepper; set aside.
Cook ramen noodles in boiling water 2-3 minutes until tender. Drain, rinse under cold water, and toss with 1 tsp sesame oil to prevent sticking.
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper. Cook 3 minutes without moving, then stir 2 more minutes until done. Remove steak and drain grease.
Add remaining olive oil to skillet with broccoli and 1/2 cup water. Cover and steam 2 minutes until bright green and fork-tender.
Return steak to skillet along with noodles. Pour sauce over mixture and toss with tongs until everything is coated and heated through, 1-2 minutes.
Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds.
Notes
Use sirloin or flank steak for best results.
For extra spice, increase red pepper flakes.
Can substitute broccoli with other vegetables like snap peas or bell peppers.
