These Cheeseburger Pockets are a fun and easy handheld meal packed with seasoned beef, melty cheddar cheese, and classic burger flavors baked into golden dough.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard (yellow or Dijon)
  • 1 to 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can crescent roll dough (or pizza/biscuit dough)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Add onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until beef is no longer pink and onions are soft. Drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in ketchup and mustard. Remove from heat and mix in shredded cheese.
  4. Roll out dough and cut into 8 rectangles or rounds.
  5. Spoon 2 tablespoons of filling onto each piece. Fold and seal edges with a fork.
  6. Place on baking sheet, brush with beaten egg.
  7. Bake 15–18 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Try adding pickles inside for extra burger flavor.
  • Swap cheddar with mozzarella or American cheese if preferred.
