Savory and comforting French Onion Ground Beef and Rice Casserole – a simple one-dish meal that’s cheesy, hearty, and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed French onion soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onion powder and garlic powder to beef and stir to combine.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, browned beef, French onion soup, and sour cream.
  5. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered 25–30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, if desired.
