Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground turkey, lean
  • ⅓ cup breadcrumbs (regular or gluten-free)
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Olive oil for cooking (if pan-frying)
  • Tzatziki Sauce: 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • ½ cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare meatballs: Combine turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, parsley, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix gently. Roll into 16-20 meatballs.
  2. Cook meatballs:
    • Oven: 400°F (200°C), bake 15-20 min.
    • Pan-Fry: Medium heat, olive oil, 4-5 min per side.
    • Air Fryer: 380°F (193°C), 10-12 min, turn halfway.
  3. Make tzatziki: Grate cucumber and drain. Mix with yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, dill, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Chill 30 min for best flavor.
  4. Serve meatballs with tzatziki sauce. Enjoy with pita, rice, or salad.

Notes

Avoid overmixing meatballs to keep them tender. Tzatziki can be prepared in advance for convenience.
