These Grilled Mediterranean Chicken Tacos are juicy, flavorful, and packed with fresh ingredients like feta salsa and creamy tzatziki, all wrapped in warm pita.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 2.5 tbsp olive oil
  • 2.5 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1.25 cups cucumber, diced
  • 1 cup tomato, diced
  • 1 cup bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 3/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 pitas
  • 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Add chicken and coat evenly. Marinate 15–45 minutes.
  3. Mix cucumber, tomato, bell pepper, red onion, parsley, feta, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to make salsa.
  4. Heat skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken 3–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (165°F internal temp).
  5. Warm pitas in skillet, oven, or over flame.
  6. Assemble tacos: fill pita with chicken, top with salsa, and drizzle tzatziki.

Notes

  • Marinate longer for deeper flavor.
