Hamburger Green Bean Casserole is a comforting, hearty dish made with seasoned ground beef, tender green beans, creamy mushroom sauce, melted cheese, and crispy fried onions.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, mix beef, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.
  7. Top with French fried onions and bake 5–10 minutes until golden.

Notes

  • Try mozzarella or gouda for a different cheese flavor.
  • This casserole can be assembled ahead and refrigerated.
  • Add corn or bell peppers for extra vegetables.
