Homemade Cheesy Garlic Bread Sloppy Joe Melts – savory, melty, and loaded with flavor for a comforting meal or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices thick-cut bread (sourdough or ciabatta)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5–7 minutes until thickened.
  5. Spread softened butter on each bread slice and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Top bread slices with sloppy joe mixture.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

  • Use turkey or lean ground beef for a lighter version.
