Ingredients
For the Steak & Shrimp
½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
½ lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cubed
2 tbsp olive oil, divided
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ tsp smoked paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Vegetables
1 onion, chopped
½ green bell pepper, chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Yellow Rice
1 cup long-grain white rice
1¾ cups chicken broth
½ tsp turmeric
¼ tsp cumin
1 tbsp olive oil
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Toast rice with turmeric, cumin, olive oil, and salt. Add broth and simmer until fluffy.
Sauté onion and bell pepper in olive oil until softened. Remove and set aside.
Season steak with paprika, salt, and pepper. Sear in a hot skillet for 2–3 minutes per side. Remove.
Cook shrimp in the same skillet until pink, about 2–3 minutes per side.
Add garlic, honey, and soy sauce. Toss shrimp until coated and sticky.
Return steak and vegetables to the skillet and toss everything in the sauce.
Serve steak and shrimp over yellow rice and drizzle with remaining glaze.
