Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix mashed potatoes, cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, salt, and parsley until smooth.
  2. Roll mixture into 3-inch sticks and freeze for 30–45 minutes.
  3. Prepare flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs with paprika in separate bowls.
  4. Coat sticks in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs. Repeat egg and breadcrumb for a second coat.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry 3–4 sticks at a time until golden, 2–3 minutes.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Freeze sticks before frying to prevent breaking or cheese leakage.
  • Add Italian herbs or chili flakes to breadcrumbs for extra flavor.
  • Reheat leftovers in oven or air fryer to keep crispy.
