Savory Tuna Melt Chaffles are quick, cheesy, and perfectly crispy, making them an ideal low-carb snack or light meal.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded for even melting)
  • 1 pkg tuna (packed in water or oil, drained well)
  • 1 egg (large)
  • 1 pinch salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the waffle maker to ensure it’s hot and ready.
  2. In a small bowl, crack the egg and whip it until yolk and white are combined. Add tuna, cheese, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Optional: Sprinkle 1 tsp cheese onto the preheated waffle maker for a crispy crust and cook 30 seconds before adding mixture.
  4. Spoon half of the tuna mixture onto the waffle maker, close lid gently, and cook for 4 minutes or until set and golden. Remove carefully.
  5. Repeat with the remaining mixture for the second chaffle. Let cool slightly and serve warm.
