Crunchy, buttery garlic bread perfect for serving alongside spaghetti or pasta. Optional cheese topping adds extra indulgence.

Ingredients

  • Β½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (or fresh, chopped)
  • ΒΌ tsp salt
  • ΒΌ tsp black pepper
  • 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread, sliced in half lengthwise
  • Optional: Β½ cup shredded mozzarella or Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Spread garlic butter generously on the cut sides of the bread. Sprinkle with cheese if desired.
  4. Place bread cut-side up on the baking sheet. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and butter is melted.
  5. Optional: broil 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness (watch closely).
  6. Slice and serve warm alongside pasta.

Notes
