A quick and flavorful stir fry featuring tender steak and juicy shrimp, packed with colorful vegetables and a savory sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Steak and Shrimp: In a bowl, combine soy sauce and cornstarch. Add steak and shrimp, coat well, and marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Cook the Steak: Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet or wok over high heat. Cook steak 2-3 minutes until browned, then remove and set aside.
  3. Cook the Shrimp: Add remaining oil if needed. Cook shrimp 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with steak.
  4. Stir Fry the Vegetables: Add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Add garlic and ginger, cook 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Combine and Serve: Return steak and shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything together and cook 1 more minute. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

  • Use any vegetables you like for more color and nutrition.
  • Serve over cauliflower rice for a low-carb option.
