Greek Turkey Meatballs with Tzatziki are a healthy and flavorful Mediterranean classic. Tender turkey meatballs paired with a cool, creamy tzatziki sauce make a perfect meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground turkey
  • ⅓ cup breadcrumbs (regular or gluten-free)
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • For Tzatziki Sauce:
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ½ cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, parsley, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix gently.
  2. Form into 16–20 meatballs, about 1–1.5 inches in diameter.
  3. Oven: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  4. Skillet: Pan-fry in olive oil over medium heat for 4–5 minutes per side.
  5. Air Fryer: Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway.
  6. Prepare tzatziki: Mix yogurt, cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, dill, and olive oil. Season to taste.
  7. Chill sauce for 30 minutes if possible, then serve meatballs with tzatziki.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey for a leaner option.
  • Drain cucumber well to prevent watery sauce.
  • Can serve with pita, rice, or salad.
