High-Protein Honey Garlic Butter Chicken with Mac & Cheese is a comforting, protein-rich meal combining juicy glazed chicken with creamy, cheesy macaroni.

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, cut into chunks or strips
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 tbsp butter (for mac & cheese)
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan, add flour, and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Whisk in milk gradually until thickened.
  4. Add cheeses and stir until smooth and creamy.
  5. Season and mix in cooked macaroni.
  6. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  7. Heat olive oil in a pan and cook chicken until golden and fully cooked.
  8. Add butter and garlic, cook until fragrant.
  9. Stir in honey and soy sauce, simmer until glossy.
  10. Toss chicken in sauce and serve over mac & cheese.
