Ingredients
250 g pasta (penne, fusilli, or rigatoni)
300 g smoked sausage, sliced into coins
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter or olive oil
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp ketchup (optional)
1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
1/2 cup reserved pasta water
Salt & black pepper, to taste
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish
Instructions
Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
Heat butter or oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Brown sausage slices for 5–7 minutes until crispy. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, sauté garlic for ~30 seconds until fragrant.
Add honey, soy sauce, ketchup (if using), and chili flakes. Stir well.
Return sausage to the skillet.
Add cooked pasta and splash in reserved pasta water.
Toss everything until glossy and well coated.
Simmer 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens.
Season with black pepper and salt if needed.
Top with Parmesan and herbs. Serve hot.
Notes
Use spicy sausage for extra heat.
Don’t skip pasta water—it helps emulsify the sauce.
