The Best Crockpot BBQ Chicken is a tender, juicy pulled chicken recipe slow-cooked in a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce—perfect for sandwiches, tacos, or meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, fat trimmed
  • 1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Lightly spray crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Place chicken in bottom of crockpot.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Pour sauce mixture over chicken.
  6. Cook on HIGH for 2.5–3 hours or LOW for 5–6 hours.
  7. Check internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Shred chicken with two forks directly in crockpot and mix with sauce.
  9. Serve on buns, rice, tacos, or salad.
